La confrérie des chasseurs traditionnels était à Séguelon dans le département d’Odienné, du 5 au 6 février dernier. Lors de ce rassemblement, le commandant de la police militaire, Koné Zakaria, organisateur de ce rendez-vous, a demandé à la corporation de mettre fin à l’activité des coupeurs de route, de se soumettre aux lois du pays et d’éviter les dérapages en leur sein.
Ils ont venus du Mali, de la Guinée, du Burkina Faso, de la Sierra Leone, de la Gambie, de Zambie et de la Côte d’Ivoire pour une rencontre dans le nord de la Côte d’Ivoire. C’était à l’occasion de ‘’la nuit du dozo’’. Il s’agissait pour les membres de cette confrérie, de mettre de l’ordre en leur sein afin d’éviter tout dérapage. Au cours de cette nuit, le commandant Koné Zakaria, membre de cette organisation, a asséné ses vérités à ses frères chasseurs. Il leur a demandé de se soumettre aux lois nationales. Car, depuis quelques temps, des membres de cette confrérie commettent des dérapages. «Rien ne sera plus comme avant. Tous doivent se soumettre aux lois du pays. Vous n’avez pas le droit de rendre justice. La police, la gendarmerie et les sous-préfets sont commis à cette tâche», a expliqué l’organisateur de la cérémonie. La question de la sécurité sur les routes ivoiriennes était au centre des préoccupations. Le patron de la police militaire, s’est offusqué de la terreur que font régner les coupeurs de routes. Souvent accompagnée de perte en vie humaine. «J’ai honte en ma qualité de membre de cette corporation de voir des voleurs semer la tristesse, la mort dans les familles, sur nos routes. Que font les dozos quand nos parents ont peur d’emprunter les routes la nuit tombée? Cette situation doit prendre fin avant la fin de ce mois», a exigé l’orateur. Et de poursuivre: «Je vous tiendrai pour responsables si ces malfrats se signalent à nouveau. Mettez fin à ce désordre», a-t-il instruit. L’exploitation abusive du bois dans les forêts ivoiriennes a été évoquée. Pour Koné Zakaria, la destruction de la faune se fait souvent avec la complicité des membres de la confrérie qui pensent être au dessus des lois.
«Nul n’est au dessus de la loi. On n’acceptera plus que des complices tapis dans nos rangs détruisent les biens du pays. Celui qui sera pris en train d’exploiter les forêts, ira en prison.
Personne n’a le droit de tuer l’économie de la Côte d’Ivoire», a prévenu le commandant, qui pense qu’il est temps d’organiser les chasseurs traditionnels. C’est pourquoi, à partir du 3 mars prochain, ces chasseurs se retrouveront dans la cité du « Poro » pour réfléchir sur un type d’organisation à mettre en place. Avec pour objectif, d’élire un président capable de les représenter où besoin se fera. Le sous-préfet de Séguelon, Dehoulé Konan César, a remercié Zakaria pour ce soutien aux actions du gouvernement. Pour lui, il appartient aux chasseurs traditionnels d’avoir un comportement citoyen pour mériter la considération des populations. «Une organisation est nécessaire pour vous sortir de l’amateurisme», a soutenu le représentant du chef de l’Etat.
